Shiloh Place is a ministry located near downtown McKinney, for single moms and their kids who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Once accepted into our program, we come alongside these families and provide housing, childcare, tuition, counseling, and life skills classes for up to 2 years.

The hard-working, dedicated moms who graduate our program have accomplished:
-An associates degree or certification in a high-demand, high-pay field
-A full-time, salaried, head-of-household job
-A savings account with an average of $5,000
-Significantly reduced or eliminated their debt
-A safe and stable place of their own to live

100% of our graduates are financially self-sufficient with the education and career needed to end the cycle of poverty for her family for generations to come.

When a mom advances from the Shiloh Place program and leaves to begin her new journey, she is equipped to not only financially provide for herself and her children, but she also has the skills and confidence to be the woman and mother God called her to be.

Mission

The mission of Shiloh Place is to equip single mothers for financial independence and personal wholeness by addressing their physical, educational, spiritual, and emotional needs.

Needs

After 11 years of helping single mothers and their children transform their lives and create a new legacy for their family for generations, Shiloh is expanding! Since our first mom moved in, we have helped almost 150 moms and children move from homelessness to financial self-sufficiency and stability in every aspect of their lives.  Unfortunately, the need continues to grow, so we must also!

Growing a Legacy – Securing a Future

In December of 2021, Shiloh was able to fully purchase 4 acres in McKinney, for future growth.  Through the extreme generosity of a few LifeChanger partners we were able to initiate and FINISH our Growing A Legacy capital campaign, raising $5.2 million!!  We are now positioned to move forward, debt-free, with building a new campus!

Our new campus will TRIPLE our capacity and includes:

* Sixteen 2 BR apartments - for both more and larger families

* 4000 sqft program building - for onsite classes, afterschool programs and additional opportunities for moms and community partners alike

* Over 2 acres of tree-covered green space for play-time and adventures for kids and outside de-stressing times for moms

* An admin building with space for counseling, private and group meetings!

Growing a Legacy - Sustainability

Now that we have secured the land and the funding to move forward with building, while remaining debt-free, we are looking to the future and the sustainability of Shiloh Place.  This North Texas Giving Day, we are asking you, the Shiloh Place family, to partner with us in helping sustain and grow our program impact, particularly as we prepare our programs for the additional growth.

We have secured matching funds from ministry partners.  They are excited about all of the women and children who are going to be impacted by this expansion, and pledging to match donations dollar for dollar. But we need your help!

This year we have TWO goals:

* Raise $140,000 AND

* Partner with 170 donors

Equity Statement

Since its founding, Shiloh Place has prided itself on being a diverse, inclusive, and culturally relevant organization that is meeting real and felt needs in our community for individuals from all backgrounds, socio-economic levels, races, and ethnicities. We intentionally recruit, attract, train, and equip a diverse staff, board, consultants, and body of volunteers who represent those whom we serve and fulfill the organization’s mission daily.
