We are a community outreach in Terrell,Texas sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ to all who come. We care and provide for both the spiritual and physical needs of our community. We are a place where people can learn and grow in their relationship with Jesus, there life skills, and engage in life-giving community, where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory.
The physical needs that we meet include discipleship, food, help with utility's, government documents, community service, drug rehabilitation placement, some medical and dental needs and transportation in some circumstances of appointments.
We share the love and hope of Jesus Christ to all who come to our Wednesdays and Friday's services, every Saturday we have Community Clean Up, and a Food Drive that starts at 9:30am and on occasions we host special events on Saturdays. We also encourage local churches and non-profits to connect with us if they need a place to host an event. Serenity Corner is on an open piece of property on South Rockwall Avenue, that could be ideal for your next community event.
Serenity Corner's service times are Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-5pm for prayer, and 5pm-6pm is service. When we end our time of service, we give out warm meals that are provided by the multiple churches who are faithful to partner with us to provide resources and hot meals yearround,
Serenity Corner works with churches in our community of Terrell including businesses and private donors, that provide meals, street friendly foods and shelter during dangerous weather, along with social services, education and administrative needs.
Our Board and volunteers are from the multiple church's that help and serve Serenity Corner. We are a network to find ways to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of those we serve.
Our Needs
Serenity Church has outgrown its last location and we meet outside on the current property that was given to us. We meet in over 100' degree weather in the hot summer of July, and we have worshipped, prayed and taught in the rain, we have endured the cold months of Fall and Winter, but we as a community have endured because we find that Jesus and being together is worth it. We are asking to prayerfully consider to partner with us to meet our need of 100,000, this money would be used in a capital improvement project which will include utilities, an administration building, parking and driveway paving for our future.
We can see the building to be used for multiple reasons such as resources to provide emergency shelter for severe weather conditions, showers, laundry services and daily meals, along with counseling, and assistance with documentation such as drivers licenses, Medicaid, Medicare, food stamps and the like.
