SafeHaven is the only agency in Tarrant County providing robust services at no cost to domestic violence victims. SafeHaven provides 24-hour care at two emergency shelters and transitional housing to families seeking independence. Clients under the care of SafeHaven receive counseling, legal services, case management and so much more. Trained bilingual advocates respond 24 hours a day to victims who call SafeHaven's toll-free emergency hotline (1-877-701-7233).
SafeHaven's professional education staff provides domestic violence prevention programs to high school students throughout Tarrant County, and our Partner Abuse Intervention Program is truly changing the behavior of more than 200 former offenders each year.
Through our outreach, education, support services and prevention programs, we are making progress to end domestic violence in Tarrant County.
SafeHaven's mission is to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention and social change.
$25 gives a SafeHaven client transportation to and from work for one week.
$75 provides a family with emergency shelter, including hot meals, snacks, counseling and case management for 24 hours.
$250 covers a local classroom's prevention programming - ending domestic violence before it begins.
$700 moves an offender from a path of power and control to relationships where violence is eliminated through our offender rehabilitation program.
$1,000 means a child residing in our shelter can experience weekly field trips, support groups and summer camp.
$2,500 gives the entirety of therapeutic intervention to a survivor - 12 full weeks of empowerment, safety and working toward independence.
$5,000 is an investment that means our highest risk victims who are scientifically likely to die at the hands of their offender are given the case management and attention they need to survive.
$10,000 gives the first taste of independence to a family fleeing violence. This gift gives a full year of rent to a mom and her children so they can get back on their feet again.
