Rivertree Academy provides an excellent private, Christian education tailored to the unique circumstances of each student. Serving families in the Lake Como community of Fort Worth, we take a whole-child approach to education, addressing students’ spiritual, academic, and social-emotional needs while building meaningful relationships along the way. Now in our eleventh year, we serve 140 students in pre-K3 through 6th grade.

All funds raised support educating our children and equipping them with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive. This includes addressing educational gaps through strong curriculum and instruction, providing two meals each day, uniforms, trauma-informed services, academic and extracurricular enrichment, daily transportation, and field trips that bring classroom learning to life. Through a holistic education rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we seek to prepare students to thrive in school, at home, and in their communities.

Our Needs

Each year, generous community partners make it possible for Rivertree Academy students to experience an education that goes beyond the classroom. For many families in Fort Worth's Lake Como community, Rivertree provides access to opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.

A Rivertree education is about more than academic excellence. Our students have opportunities to discover their gifts, build confidence, develop character, and grow into leaders through programs and experiences that support the whole child. From athletics and fine arts to academic intervention, LINK, after-school enrichment, and trauma-informed student support, these programs help our students learn, grow, and thrive.

This North Texas Giving Day, we are seeking support to strengthen the student programs that make the Rivertree experience possible for every child. Your gift will help provide the resources and opportunities our students need to flourish academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally and become catalysts of transformation in their community.

Giving Activity

Mission

Rooted in Como, Rivertree Academy partners with families to equip students to live well by following Jesus, pursuing academic excellence, and becoming catalysts of transformation in their community. Our vision is to cultivate generational transformation through Christ-centered academic excellence in Como and beyond. We love our children, prepare them for their next academic experience, and expose them to a great God.

Needs

Every child who attends Rivertree Academy has access to a private education tailored to their unique circumstances, including curriculum and instruction that meet Texas state standards, two meals each day plus an after-school snack, uniforms for the school year, free counseling and family support resources, before-school care beginning at 7 a.m. and an after-school program until 6 p.m., transportation to and from school, and field trips that introduce students to new places, experiences, and opportunities to learn beyond the classroom.

Equity Statement

Rivertree Academy actively promotes and upholds equity and access by giving a voice to the families in the Como area, learning from them, and working with them to meet their needs. The services we provide have the potential to change the trajectory of the students we teach, and our vision is to end the cycle of poverty in every family we serve. We have created policies that ensure accountability, equity, and inclusion. We pursue diversity training, hire staff who look like our students, and celebrate holidays such as Juneteenth. In addition, our Head of School is a founding member of a local nonprofit that seeks to end racial prejudice and the injustice it creates. We are dedicated to rectifying historical inequities of those in the Como community and are always looking for new ways to serve our students, families, and the Como area through partnerships, community building initiatives, and service projects.
