We need your help:

Bring a Visiting Exhibit – $22,500 This fall, the Art and Science of Arachnids exhibit is coming to River Legacy Nature Center. It’s the largest arachnid display in North America. It helps families overcome fears while learning how vital spiders and scorpions are to our ecosystems. We have a $22,500 shortfall. Please bring this 3 month-long exhibit fully to life for your community.

Discovery Room Updates – $17,500 - Our Discovery Room has been inspiring children for years, but it’s showing its age. The interactive floor - toddlers’ favorite feature - needs to be updated with new interactive projection technology about the Trinity River. Please help our youngest learners explore the wonders of our local ecosystem in immersive, hands-on ways.

Animal Ambassador Care – Hunny Bunny Needs Your Help - $1000+ Hunny Bunny, one of our most beloved rabbits, recently survived a life-threatening emergency with the help of an ER visit and ongoing medical care. Covering these costs is part of what it takes to provide the highest-quality care for the more than 100 animal ambassadors who call the Nature Center home. These animals are important and engaging teachers for thousands of students and visitors each year. Please help Hunny Bunny.

Classroom Furniture – $1,000 As we approach our 30th anniversary, much of our Nature School furniture is also just as old. Please help update classroom furniture to give young learners the best learning environment possible.

Trail Markers – $500 - These small but powerful markers will connect our Discovery Trail to our educational apps. Please help turn every hike into an interactive learning adventure.
