Read2Win serves all Fort Worth ISD, Crowley ISD, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, Lake Worth ISD, and Arlington ISD elementary schools. Our goal is to establish adopt-a-school partnerships with community-based stakeholders to include: faith-based organization (i.e. local churches), Police Officers (First Read-sponders) and the Private/Public Business sector.
Read2Win currently serves 28 of the 83 in Fort Worth ISD, 10 of the 10 for Crowley ISD, and 3 of the 55 for Arlington ISD.
In 2019 Read2Win will add 2 additional Crowley schools, 5 Fort Worth elementary schools, 3 Lake Worth elementary schools, and 10 Eagle Mountain-Saginaw elementary schools.
Read2Win's trained Adult Reading Coaches (ARC) are required to commit to one day a week. On that day the Reading Coach has the option to meet with 2 students independently for a 30-minute session. This is a one-hour commitment of time.
Simply put a Reading Coach commits to 1 Day; 1 Hour (in a single week)
Read2Win provides a 28-lesson track that is Educational-Engaging-Exciting
A Read2Win trained Adult Reading Coach has the option to assist 1 or 2 students in becoming a more proficient reader.
Read2Win has a 8-year history with FWISD that is proven effective for both students and partners that we maintain a high Reading Coach retention rate and strong adopt-a-school partnerships.
Our Needs
1) Expansion of Read2Win to 30 campuses in Fort Worth ISD,12 campuses in Crowley ISD, 3 campuses in Arlington ISD, 10 campuses in Eagle Mountain ISD, and 3 campuses in Lake Worth ISD.
2) Read2Win Summer Reading Camp:
We will provide an intensive 4-week camp with a focus on Literacy Essential to include phonemic decoding, writing labs, one-on-one specialized reading coaching, and STEM-focused field trip. This will serve the needs of up to 130 students across three elementary school sites. Each site will have a certified teacher and student/teacher intern.
This will provide up to 450 trained Reading Coaches to Assist as many as 900 1st graders to obtain reading grade level!
