Raising Oak Cliff began as a grassroots effort in the living rooms of Oak Cliff families who saw a lack of equity and equality in their own backyard and a desire to spread the overflowing wealth and resources from higher-income areas to ensure equal opportunities for not just a handful of schools but all schools across District 7. It is our firm belief that regardless of wealth or status, every child deserves the resources to succeed.
Over the years, ROC has grown and become an organization not only for our schools and their students but also for our community as a whole. Through the events hosted, we aid in connecting our neighbors and creating a network of support in which we can empower one another. Why? Because strong schools, strong families, and educated children are the backbone of a thriving community.
