Our Vision

To create a world where people of different cultural backgrounds can interact and share genuine mutual love, achieve their fullest potential, and have access to basic human needs.

New Horizons

People-Centered Lighthouse aims to serve the community by providing food and necessities to refugees, immigrants, and the underprivileged in the DFW area and Africa. We also empower youths by promoting their talents and helping them reach their highest potential through the All Kids Got Talent" (AKGT) show. We are looking forward to extending our mission field to Africa. We made a trip to Israel to explore the land in 2022, and next year in May 2024, we look forward to taking groups to the Holy Land so they can have their own unique experience. For updates, please check out Dr. Colby's Israel Group trip on our website, www.peoplecenteredlighthouse.org. We will equally start our mission trips to Africa to serve the community as we have partnered with ministries and churches to be effective and realize these goals.

Our Activities

Monthly Mobile Food Pantry in Garland

People-Centered Lighthouse has partnered with the North Texas Food Bank and Upendo Baptist Church to distribute food to people of diverse cultures in the Garland community. Given the high level of need, we are delighted to serve in this capacity and will extend the food distribution program to Africa.

Back to School Fair 2023

This year, we look forward to supporting families with backpacks and school supplies as we do every year. Our goal is to help 50 families. However, we still need bags to meet our objective for this year. We will highly appreciate your supporting us as we serve these families. We cannot thank you enough for all your support as we help our community!

Upcoming Activities

All Kids Got Talent show: December 9th, 2023, in Garland, Texas.

Our Needs

First, we thank all our donors who supported us last year financially, prayerfully, and on the ground to provide food and necessities for the needy in our community. We cannot thank you enough.

Repair of The People-Centered Lighthouse Van

We are so grateful to have raised funds on this platform to purchase a Van to transport food, equipment, and the people we serve for various activities. Currently, the Van is parked, given that it needs repairs. We plead for your indulgence to support PCL so the Van can continue to serve this purpose.

Cost: $2000

Supporting Refugees and Orphans in Africa

The needs in Africa are appalling, and PCL is in the process of extending a hand of help and will be supporting families with basic food needs so children can be well-fed before going to school and grow healthy. Struggling families who cannot provide for their families tend to cause children to go to bed hungry, affecting their health and academic performance. Clothing is a basic necessity. We aim to provide these needs to keep the kids warm and avoid potential diseases. Many families are unaware of the dangers of certain habits that can cause diseases. We intend to sensitize them so they can have the necessary knowledge to avoid common diseases.

Cost: $3000

Total: $5,000
