North Texas Giving Day is Communities Foundation of Texas' largest community investment initiative. It is the largest and most visible regional philanthropic event in the nation. Now in its sixteenth year, the program and its online giving platform offers tools, training, and resources to help nonprofits.

Does Communities Foundation of Texas endorse each participating organization?
North Texas Giving Day is proud to support tens of thousands of donors as they come together to give to North Texas nonprofits. We encourage donors to find organizations that align with their passions and values.
While Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) does verify the charitable status of every nonprofit that participates in Giving Day, CFT does not screen or select organizations based on their charitable purpose or their mission.
Giving Day eligibility is based solely on providing services in North Texas and an organization's status as a recognized Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity. Therefore, approval of an organization's participation in Giving Day does not constitute an endorsement of the organization or its mission by Communities Foundation of Texas or any Giving Day partners.
Each Giving Day organization page provides the organization's mission and some detailed information on its programs. For additional research, each page also includes a link to its GuideStar profile and its website to provide more detailed information on the organization.
Every online transaction is processed through a secured using PCI Security Standards Council, PCI Level 2 which is a set of universally accepted standards that help protect the safety of customer data. We do not sell, give, loan or rent donor information to anyone other than the organization(s) to which the donor made a gift.
Absolutely! The Giving Day season officially kicks off September 1. Any donation(s) made during September will count toward the big day. You can also visit NorthTexasGivingDay.org all year long to support your favorite organizations.
Thanks to help from our generous givers and sponsors, Communities Foundation of Texas will continue to cover all transaction and technology fees through December 31, 2025. This ensures 100% of online donations made through the platform will directly support the organization(s).

Is there a minimum donation amount?
The minimum donation NorthTexasGivingDay.org is $1. We believe everyone should have access to support their community and make an impact.
Are gifts tax-deductible?
Yes, every donation made through NorthTexasGivingDay.org is fully tax-deductible. After completing your online donation, you will receive a receipt that includes all necessary tax information.
Yes, donors can make gifts anonymously. To make an anonymous gift, select which type of anonymity you would like your donation to have.

Can I give to more than one organization?
Yes! From the donate page of a nonprofit, input your donation amount and click Add to Cart and Checkout Later. Once you have added all of your donations to your cart, you can click on the shopping cart in the top right corner to complete the checkout process.
How do I fix a mistake on a donation?
Please contact us immediately to fix any errors or mistakes you made on your donations. Call Communities Foundation of Texas (214-346-5500) or email us (Support@NorthTexasGivingDay.org) for a donation adjustment. We are unable to make any refunds, adjustments, or cancellations 30 days from the processing of a donation.
May I specify how a nonprofit uses my gift?
North Texas Giving Day is designed for nonprofits to raise unrestricted operating funds. However, you may use the notes field on the donation form to express your desire that your gift be used for a specific program or project.
May I use my Giving Day donation to buy event tickets, museum memberships, tuition or other things that might come with a benefit?
No.Donations may not be used to pay for anything that might be perceived as a material benefit to the donor including dinner tickets, membership fees, golf fees, admission tickets, raffle tickets, event sponsorships or other gifts.
If you created or already have a donor account, you can easily resend yourself a receipt at any time. Please follow the steps below:
1. Log in here to your donor account.
2. Select your name in the top right corner and then click on the navigation tab labeled Donation History.
3. After landing on the Donation History page you will see all donations that have been made on NorthTexasGivingDay.org. you made. On the right-hand side next to the Method, click the three dots, then select Resend Receipt to email the receipt to the address on file or a different one.
If you did not create a donor account when making your donation(s), please contact customer service at support@northtexasgivingday.org. Please be sure to provide us with the email address you used upon making your donation so that we can get your receipt to you.
Your credit card statement will read: CFTexas NTX Giving Day 2147504222 TX.
Yes! You will get an emailed receipt that can be used for matching purposes. Please have your employer send the matching funds directly to the appropriate nonprofit(s).

Do I need a donor account to donate?
No! You do not need a donor account on NorthTexasGivingDay.org. If you choose not to create a donor account, you can simply checkout as a guest.

How do I create a donor account?
Creating a donor account is quick, easy, and free! Follow the instructions below to sign up for an account.
Step 1: Click the Log In option in the navigation bar, or simply click here.
Step 2: When the Log In or Sign Up page appears, enter your email address.
Step 3: You will then be prompted to enter a password for your account.
And that's it! You officially have a donor account on NorthTexasGivingDay.org.
Once you get logged in, you will see your name in the top right side of the navigation bar which is where you can find key donor information, store payment methods, and more.
To edit your personal information, simply login to your donor account.
Once you are logged in, you’ll see your name in the top right corner. From there, select the navigation tab labeled Account Settings. You will then be able to update your account name, log in credentials, and stored payment methods.
Please note: If you decide to delete your donor account, you will no longer have access to your giving history in one place.
I tried signing up for a donor account, but it says my email address is already in use. What should I do?
Great news! This means that you have made an account previously with your email address. If you don't know your password, you can reset it any time by using the Forgot Password? option on the log in page.
