Help Young Leaders Be The Change
What happens when young people are given the space, tools, and support to find their voice and lead?
Since 2014, Young Leaders Strong City (YLSC) has brought together 8th–12th grade students from public, private, and charter schools across the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex for the Annual Teen Unity Summit to learn from one another, build understanding across differences, and turn their ideas into action.
At YLSC, students don't just talk about change—they learn how to create it.
Through our YLSC Annual Teen Unity Summit and monthly programming, students explore local history, identity, and the experiences that shape their schools and communities. Guided by our young leaders, local educators, artists, historians, and adult allies, students engage in honest conversations, challenge assumptions, develop leadership skills, and create strategies for advancing positive change.
Most importantly, every student has a seat in the room.
There is no cost to participate, because a student's ability to attend should never depend on their family's income or access to transportation. We partner with local school districts, organizations, and adult allies to remove those barriers and make participation possible for every student who wants to be involved.
Your Support Makes Their Participation Possible
A $250 donation sponsors one student's participation in YLSC programming.
Your gift helps provide the experiences and resources that allow students to show up, connect, learn, and lead, including:
- Student meals, snacks, and drinks
- YLSC T-shirts and program materials
- Educator, artist, and historian facilitators
- Facility rental and program costs
- Staff support and coordination
- Transportation and other participation needs
Your investment doesn't simply fund an event. It invests in young leaders who are ready to make a difference in their schools, communities, and beyond.
Help Us Reach More Young Leaders
YLSC is growing, and we want to ensure that more Dallas-area students have access to meaningful opportunities to develop their voices, connect across differences, and become leaders for positive change.
Give $250 to sponsor a student—or give any amount to help make YLSC programming possible.
Together, we can make sure that cost is never the reason a young person misses the opportunity to lead.
