The Hope Project is a unique program designed to assist survivors of domestic violence. Our desire is to transform space(s) in shelters and homes into more desirable living spaces for families in transition. Many women and children escape with only the clothes on their backs. We hope to relieve some stress from women and children during these very stressful times, by providing hope through a beautiful and functionally decorated living space. We partner with organizations and shelters serving domestic violence survivors to empower lives and restore hope for their betterment.
Our mission is to educate, provide resources and services that help individuals and communities grow and become self-sufficient. We are committed to supporting marginalized communities, women, children, and those impacted by domestic violence or homelessness.
Women Empowering Women for the Next Generation Ministries (WEW, Inc.) was founded in February 2005 by Cynthia McCarter-Williams. WEW, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) (3) tax-exempt corporation. It is a faith base organization that offers self-help, spiritual renewal, and enrichment programs for women and children. Our focus is to assist in rebuilding families and our community to become self-sufficient in every area of their life.
Every family we serve has a story. Every home we furnish represents a new beginning. Every community outreach event gives someone an opportunity to receive the resources, encouragement, and hope they need.
This North Texas Giving Day, WEW, Inc. needs your help to continue meeting the real and immediate needs of women, children, and families in our community. Your gift helps us provide more than resources—it helps us provide comfort, dignity, stability, and hope.
Warehouse
WEW, Inc. is seeking office and warehouse space where we can store furniture and household donations, organize Hope Project supplies, prepare homes for families, and maintain the resources needed for our community outreach programs. A dedicated space would allow us to receive more donations and serve more families.
Transportation
Our work often begins with a donation—but we need the ability to move that donation to where it is needed most. We are seeking a box truck and cargo van to pick up furniture, transport supplies, deliver household items, and support community outreach events.
We Need Items to Turn Houses Into Homes
Through our Hope Project, we help families transitioning into housing create a safe and comfortable place to call home. We need twin, full, and queen mattresses and bedding, pillows, linens, blankets, sofas, chairs, dining sets, lamps, rugs, mirrors, side tables, dishes, décor, and other household essentials.
A bed may look like a simple piece of furniture, but to a family starting over, it can represent safety, stability, dignity, and a new beginning.
We Need to Bring Joy to Children
We also provide toys and children's items to help bring joy and a sense of normalcy to children and families experiencing difficult circumstances. New toys and age-appropriate children's items are always welcome.
We Need the Tools to Keep Serving
The little things matter, too. Tools, lightbulbs, first-aid kits, storage supplies, and other operational necessities help us keep our programs running and our community services moving.
Your gift can help provide a bed, furnish a home, purchase supplies, transport a donation, or help us establish the warehouse space we need to grow.
You don't have to give a lot to make a difference. You just have to give what you can.
