Wise County Christian Counseling & Jenny's Hope

This year is the most excited we have ever been! We have an anonymous donor offer to match all our donations up to $50,000! What?!?! Yes, it’s true! When we raise $50,000, then it will instantly become $100,000! Please help us, friends! (This is to honor my 50th wedding anniversary! Is this not an amazing gift!)

Wise County Christian Counseling exists to provide professional counseling services on a sliding scale basis so that everyone can receive the help they need for emotional and relational support. Our counseling team is amazing! 

In 2018, we opened Jenny’s Hope, which is a grief center for children and their families. We host peer groups that run for 8-9 weeks in the Fall and in the Spring, along with several special events throughout the year.

Jenny’s Hope in Grief is our newest endeavor. We have a team ready to go into our area schools following the death of a student or staff member. We have written a curriculum to train school personnel and volunteers before a crisis on how to handle grief in the school setting. 

There is not a school district that is set up to pay for these services so we are asking you, our donors to help up continue to offer these vital life skills. 

For example, Paradise is a small community in Wise County where in 16 months, there were four student deaths and one school board member died. These deaths were all elementary students and one teacher had three of the students who died. These deaths were from horrific tragedies - one at a quinceanera when an archway fell on her; another was found kidnapped and murdered; and two boys were killed with their father in a tragic plane crash. We were honored to go to Paradise Elementary to show up for this community. One day at Paradise costs us over $4,000.  And that, my friends, is why we need your help!
