Our view is there are many good rescues in our community that could do more if they had the funding to support the necessary care for injured and neglected animals. These animals are the first to be euthanized in our shelters and may just have a mild case of mange or kennel cough. Unfortunately the cases are usually worse like Heartworm disease, Parvo or as urgent as an animal hit by a car. We help those rescues with funding so they can pull urgent animals who desperately need a chance. We have funded and placed many animals that were in need in the shelters that have gone on to be adopted into loving homes. We also help those shelters with supplies and funding for vetting which also leads to adoption out of the shelters. All animals are in need in the shelters and if we fund and help build the rescue community through grants, education and advocacy one day we may become a true no kill shelter nation.
Finally we added a community outreach program to help our veterans, senior citizens and qualified low income families who care for thier pets but have medical emergencies that they cannot afford. Most of these families will choose to owner surrender or worse euthansia as they have no other options. We have helped countless families save their pets and get services they desperately need.
Our Needs
Due to Covid 19 we have had numerous requests for help from the community however we have been unable to host our fundraising events. We are in desperate need of funds to be able to continue to help the shelters, rescue groups and qualified individuals. Also donations for shelters are always needed; food, raised beds, toys, flea and tick medications and volunteers!
