Visual Aid Volunteers is seeking general operation support.
Visual Aid Volunteers was created to promote the independence and success of people with visual impairments by providing quality braille materials. Operational support allows VAV to continue transcribing textbooks into braille for students in Texas while paying living wages for women who were formerly incarcerated for transcription services.
To Promote the independence and success of visually impaired persons by providing quality braille materials.
Visual Aid Volunteers recognizes that true inclusion means more than simply providing services; it means actively working to dismantle systemic barriers that prevent blind and visually impaired individuals from achieving full literacy, participation, and success. Defining equity as ensuring that every individual has access to specific resources including timely, high-quality braille and tactile materials.
