Helping North Texas Kids Get the Basics They Need
Every child deserves access to the basics. But for thousands of children across North Texas, something as simple as having enough clean underwear isn't always a given.
Undies for Everyone (UFE) provides new underwear to children living in poverty or crisis, working with trusted schools and nonprofit organizations to reach kids right here in North Texas.
This year, we're providing:
45,360 pairs of underwear to 6,480 children in Fort Worth
65,520 pairs of underwear to 9,360 children in Dallas
Together, that's 110,880 pairs of new underwear for 15,840 North Texas kids.
Why Underwear?
Underwear is easy to overlook until you don't have enough of it.
For families already stretching their budgets to cover rent, groceries, utilities, transportation, and other necessities, keeping growing children stocked with new underwear can be a challenge.
And unlike many other types of clothing, underwear can't simply be passed down or purchased secondhand. It must be new.
UFE focuses on filling this often-overlooked gap. Each child we serve receives a week's supply of new underwear, giving them something every child should be able to count on each morning.
How We Reach North Texas Kids
We don't ask families to come to us. Instead, we partner with organizations already serving children in their communities.
By working with trusted schools and nonprofit partners throughout Dallas and Fort Worth, we're able to get underwear directly to children who need it while allowing our partners to focus on what they do best.

Pursue cultural competency throughout our organization by creating substantive learning opportunities and formal, transparent policies.
Generate and aggregate quantitative and qualitative research related to equity to make incremental, measurable progress toward the visibility of our diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts.
Improve our cultural leadership pipeline by creating and supporting programs and policies that foster leadership that reflects the diversity in Houston and in the United States.
Pool resources and expand offerings for underrepresented constituents by connecting with other nonprofit organizations committed to diversity and inclusion efforts.
Develop and present sessions on diversity, inclusion, and equity to provide information and resources internally, and to members, the community, and the arts industry.
Develop a system for being more intentional and conscious of bias during the hiring, promoting, or evaluating process. Train our team on equitable practices.
Advocate for public and private-sector policy that promotes diversity, inclusion, and equity. Challenge systems and policies that create inequity, oppression and disparity.
