Today, many young adults struggle to maintain emotional stability and a positive self-image. In fact, Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among people age 15 to 24 in the US. TransformUs Movement’s mentorship program was designed to help young adults discover and live out their purpose so that they can thrive in life.
The program offers:
- holistic, relational approach to mentoring
- an atmosphere of genuine love and acceptance
- multifaceted ways to grow in confidence and self-awareness
- life skills training to help achieve self-sufficiency
- opportunities to use their gifts/talents to serve within the community
Our goal is to raise $28,000 to continue providing the life-changing services and experiences offered through TranformUs’ Mentorship Program. This funding will directly support our regular programming, provide trauma-informed group therapies and licensed professional counseling, and our annual retreat.
TransformUs Movement exists to mobilize and empower people and organizations to serve as catalysts for change in underserved communities. Since 2013, TransformUs has been promoting unity, diversity, and collaboration through a three-pronged approach: (1) Mentorship for Young Adults (2) Community Engagement and (3) Training & Consulting for community partners to better reach and engage young adults and marginalized groups.
We envision emerging adults that invest their gifts and talents back into their community and position themselves to provide a loving, stable environment for their future families. This is a vital part of our strategy to transform communities, one person at a time.

Marginalized communities struggle to access resources and healthy relationships and systemic barriers are set up to hold them back from success. Those with wealth and social capital want to make a difference, but they struggle to engage in a meaningful, culturally sensitive way. Since 2013, TransformUs has been committed to breaking the barriers that keep underresourced communities oppressed while building bridges to connect them with the people and resources that can transform their lives and future generations.
