TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND is the preeminent dance presenter in North Texas and one of the nation's only presenting organizations dedicated exclusively to dance. Since our inaugural presentation of Pilobolus in 1982, TITAS has curated and commissioned over 635 live performances (190 Dallas debuts) by the most intriguing and influential artists across 42+ countries. As a curatorial presenter who draws upon the most exceptional talent and compelling artistic works worldwide, our diverse programming appeals to a wide range of communities, creating our most valuable byproduct, blended audiences sharing cultural expression and world-class dance and performance art.
TITAS recognizes that access to transformative artistic and creative experiences is a cornerstone of thriving communities. Community engagement and education programming deepen connections to our visiting artists, including post-show artist talkbacks, student performances, lecture demonstrations, master classes, internships, artist salons, movement therapy, outdoor dance classes, and professional development for educators.

TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND entertains, educates, and inspires by curating and commissioning extraordinary dance and performance art from around the world.
Though it has been over three years since COVID restrictions were lifted, the arts have experienced lingering challenges across the globe. During COVID lockdowns, we taught the world to stay home and to stream everything. Now, across the field, we collectively battle “the couch” as audiences have forgotten the power of the Live Experience to move and inspire us to a greater existence.
TITAS is addressing this challenge head-on through the Be In The Room audience development and community engagement campaign to revitalize demand for and participation in live performing arts. You must Be In The Room to have the visceral shared experience of a great performance that can only be felt in person and in the moment. It’s up to us to better understand the barriers and beliefs underlying arts participation and to boldly change when change is needed.
This North Texas Giving Day, please Be In The Room and help TITAS bring audiences back to the theater.
North Texas is made up of people from diverse communities and equity-seeking groups defined as ALAANA and LGBTQIA+. We recognize that barriers to services may exist for members of diverse communities, particularly for equity-seeking groups, and we are committed to acting as a positive force in eliminating these barriers.
To achieve this, TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND will:
- Strive to ensure that diverse communities have equitable access to its services, resources and decision-making
- Act in a nondiscriminatory manner and promote the goals of anti-racism, access and equity
- Take reasonable steps to ensure its services, programs and decision-making reflect the principles and objectives of the community it serves
