More Than.

The Storehouse transforms lives by helping our North Dallas neighbors meet their basic needs while connecting them with vital resources to empower them on their journeys. Our pathway starts with food, but we are more than food.

Each year, we support more than 149,000 unique, unduplicated neighbors, who live at or below the federal poverty level, with a holistic pathway of programs that can culminate in stable, high-quality employment.

Our programs include:

  • A food pantry that provides nutritious food to around 5,000 families each month
  • A clothing closet that allows neighbors to shop for their families at no cost
  • A resource connection program that helps neighbors access vital services from other local nonprofits
  • An academy that offers language, job, and life skills training, including a job partnership program that connects neighbors with stable, high-quality employment.

Our vision is that 2 out of every 10 neighbors we meet for food will never have to stand in that line again thanks to our programs and your generous support. And, since launching job partnerships in May 2023, we've already connected more than 50 neighbors with living-wage jobs at our first 3 job partners!

The collective support of all of our donors is what enables us to do this work. Our average individual gift is $396. This year, we must raise $2.8 million to fund this work, and your gift makes a difference! Together, we are more than the sum of our parts, and with the generosity of all of our donors, we can achieve even greater impact.

Don't just take our word for it!

  • We are proud to be a Dallas Morning News Charities Partner since 2023
  • We have a Platinum Transparency Rating on GuideStar
  • We are a Four-Star Charity on Charity Navigator
  • We were the recipient of the North Texas Food Bank's Hope for Tomorrow Award in 2023 and we are proud to be their largest-traditional pantry partner.
