The Music Stand was founded by pianist & composer Arlington Jones & his wife Hope in 2013. Having overcome personal and professional obstacles, Arlington and Hope have a heart to encourage musicians and their families to rise above the challenges of life and reach their full potential. Since the beginning of their marriage, they have mentored individuals and couples in the music industry. They are known for producing inspiring music, exciting concerts, and creative music education programs.

Mission

The Music Stand enriches and uplifts lives through innovative artistic expression, interactive education & artist support.

Needs

The Music Stand seeks to expand its budget to ensure the continuation and stability of our programs. This year in August 2024, we will host our first arts festival in Arlington, TX (estimated budget $40,000). It will be a four-day cultural celebration of music, dance & arts. We will present a film screening, music & dance performances, guest artists, and a jazz opera. We are also planning to make this an annual event and increase our live & virtual programming throughout the year. Your gift will provide support to our concert & performing arts series, professional musicians personal development & emergency fund, and creative music education programs with our community partners.

Equity Statement

The Music Stand was founded with the heart to reach all ages, races, cultures, and backgrounds through the arts and personal development. We believe music is a universal language that crosses cultures and generations and the arts has the power to unite and heal hearts. We are committed to providing uplifting programs, beneficial services, and opportunities to people from all walks of life. We find creative ways to bring our programs to communities. We will remain dedicated to enriching the lives of the people we serve.
