The Music Stand was founded by pianist & composer Arlington Jones & his wife Hope in 2013. Having overcome personal and professional obstacles, Arlington and Hope have a heart to encourage musicians and their families to rise above the challenges of life and reach their full potential. Since the beginning of their marriage, they have mentored individuals and couples in the music industry. They are known for producing inspiring music, exciting concerts, and creative music education programs.

Mission

The Music Stand provides innovative artistic expression and personal development that enriches and transforms lives with biblical truths.

Needs

Our industry is still recovering from the pandemic. There has been a great need for creative programming that reaches audiences in multiple ways, and there is still a need for ongoing financial assistance to help professional musicians and their families. We are looking to develop a strategic planning process for resuming our in-person programs in a safe manner with the option of livestreaming the events simultaneously for virtual audiences. In order to ensure we have the necessary safety protocols in place as well the adequate production & performance crew, we must grow our budget to cover the costs for venue rental, artists performance fees, video & sound production team, security, and other various event planning costs. We seek to increase our community partnerships and build an advisory council of individuals from various sectors who could contribute their expertise to the mission of The Music Stand. We are excited about the future of our programs, which includes new music presentations in the works, a new speaker series for professional musicians, and more creative music education events.

Equity Statement

The Music Stand was founded with the heart to reach all ages, races, cultures, and backgrounds through the arts and personal development. We believe music is a universal language that crosses cultures and generations and the arts has the power to unite and heal hearts. We are committed to providing uplifting programs, beneficial services, and opportunities to people from all walks of life. We find creative ways to bring our programs to communities. We will remain dedicated to enriching the lives of the people we serve.
