The Music Stand was founded by pianist & composer Arlington Jones & his wife Hope in 2013. Having overcome personal and professional obstacles, Arlington and Hope have a heart to encourage musicians and their families to rise above the challenges of life and reach their full potential. Since the beginning of their marriage, they have mentored individuals and couples in the music industry. They are known for producing inspiring music, exciting concerts, and creative music education programs.

Mission

The Music Stand enriches and uplifts lives through innovative artistic expression, interactive education & artist support.

Needs

The Music Stand thanks you for your support and willingness to make a difference for the arts!

Our current need is $25,000 to curate performances that will provide work for the creative artists we serve. Just a few years ago, most musicians couldn't find regular work and many full-time positions were eliminated. And now, musicians, like many people in the world, are still catching up from that deficit. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the projected employment growth of musicians and singers is only 2%. For these reasons, The Music Stand seeks to provide artist work opportunities and increase wages. We value the gifts and talents of artists. Music and the arts are important industries and bring great benefits to our wellness and life enrichment. We understand music consumption and markets bring in billions of dollars, but artists rarely receive fair, equitable wages for the work they do and art they create. The Music Stand wants to help change that narrative.

Throughout the past year, we have been continuing to support artist through emergency funding and work partnerships, developing a wellness platform for music industry professionals, strengthening partnerships & collaborations, and hosting educational film screenings. We also launched a Young Artists program that honors their achievements, supports their endeavors, and offers platforms to showcase their gifts. Last summer, we hosted our first arts festival in Arlington, TX featuring a four-day cultural celebration of music, dance & arts, and we look forward to the next time!

We are grateful for your partnership to help us enrich and uplift lives with artistic & wellness programs.

Equity Statement

The Music Stand was founded with the heart to reach all ages, races, cultures, and backgrounds through the arts and personal development. We believe music is a universal language that crosses cultures and generations and the arts has the power to unite and heal hearts. We are committed to providing uplifting programs, beneficial services, and opportunities to people from all walks of life. We find creative ways to bring our programs to communities. We will remain dedicated to enriching the lives of the people we serve.
