Our Needs
Monetary donations to secure a home for displaced women. Donations are currently used to cover short-term housing costs, food budgets, and other expenses. Gifts of any size are welcome and encouraged!
Mission
The Anchor Home helps women in Ellis County who are unexpectedly without support or assistance due to life-altering circumstances such as divorce, the death of a family’s primary breadwinner, medical crises, or other unforeseen hardships. Our mission is to provide compassion, guidance, and stability while helping women regain their footing and move toward self-sufficiency.
Women who reach out for help are interviewed, prayed with, and counseled about the best next steps for their situation. If a woman meets the criteria for housing and space is available, she becomes a client of The Anchor Home. She is provided safe housing and ongoing support while developing a plan to rebuild stability and work toward independence.
