First Tee – Greater Dallas is a youth development organization empowering young people to build the strength of character that will guide them for a lifetime. By integrating the game of golf with a proven life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences that help kids develop resilience, self-confidence, and inner strength that extends far beyond the golf course. Our Impact
In 2025 alone, we served over 5,000 youth between ages 5 and high school graduation through our First Tee Program, meaning they received at minimum 5 hours of direct instruction from one of our First Tee Coach Program trained staff members. 80% of those youth were of diverse populations, and 41% of them were defined as in underserved communities.
This past spring, we awarded $111,000 in college scholarships to 32 participants, contributing to a program that has provided over $1.4 million in scholarships since 2011. More than 90% of our scholarship recipients graduate or remain enrolled in college, preparing them for meaningful careers and leadership in their communities.

At First Tee – Greater Dallas, we provide the opportunity for our participants to experience success. We’re “Building Game Changers” by empowering kids and teens through the game of golf. Through our programs and mentoring we enable kids to build the strength of character that will empower them through a lifetime of new challenges.
At First Tee – Greater Dallas, our biggest needs are to maintain our coaches and to ensure that we can give them all the necessary ongoing training needed to provide children and teens with the very best coaching and resources. This also includes transportation, equipment and to support our RCV Learning Center.
This year, we had over 1,000 children and teens participate in our summer programs. Since we didn’t have the full-time staff to handle this volume, we had to hire additional resources to handle this growth, so that we don't have to turn children away.
In order to meet our objectives, we need to :
• Hire additional coaches to expand the number of participants served and classes offered
• Increase educational programming, including female and teen specific options
• Increase program scholarship funding, allowing for more at-risk youth to attend college
• Provide supplemental resources for families and participants, including financial literacy program, health and wellness programs, etc.
