For over 16 years, The MINT Foundation has supported families in Southern Dallas and Ellis Counties with programs that meet urgent needs and build long-term stability. Our mission is to partner with individuals and families overcoming education, housing, and racial barriers by providing resources and training to break generational poverty and close the wealth gap.

Through a holistic service model, we offer emergency aid, education, mentoring, and community resources to more than 10,000 families each year helping them overcome barriers and achieve brighter futures.

Guided by our core values - Mentor, Inspire, Nurture, Train - we serve all overlooked and underserved families, with 89% of those we serve coming from minority communities.

The MINT Food Pantry
The MINT Food Pantry is a crucial community resource that significantly impacts the lives of families facing food insecurity. By providing healthy, nutritious food, the pantry helps reduce hunger and promote dignity and self-reliance. The Uplift Saturdays initiative, an extension of the pantry, further strengthens the community by meeting essential food needs and contributing to a more stable community.

The MINT Senior Meals Program
Serving seniors throughout southern Dallas County, the MINT Senior Meals Program is a lifeline, delivering at least one nutritious meal each weekday to older adults and senior living centers. These meals, carefully designed to support seniors' health, play a critical role in maintaining their independence and ensuring consistent nourishment as part of their daily routine.

The MINT Emergency Financial Assistance Program
The MINT Emergency Financial Assistance Program is a beacon of hope for low- and moderate-income households facing financial hardship. By providing short-term emergency assistance for housing costs and utility bills, the program helps prevent eviction, homelessness, and service disconnections. It offers families the stability they need to regain their footing and work toward self-sufficiency.

The MINT Stability Program (GROW)
The GROW Program fosters long-term financial and housing stability through personalized support and mindset development. Participants receive coaching and resources to enhance their economic stability, secure housing, and work toward achieving self-reliant futures.

The MINT Youth Financial Literacy Program
This program equips young people with essential financial skills, including budgeting, saving, credit management, and investing. It prepares youth to become financially independent adults and introduces pathways to entrepreneurship, laying the foundation for long-term success.

The MINT Mentoring Program

Youth participating in the MINT Mentoring Program are matched with mentors who guide their academic achievement, personal development, and social growth. The program also includes health and wellness activities and nutrition education, which are all designed to break the cycles of poverty and decrease the generational wealth gap.
