The Texas Pool is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is the very first Texas-shaped pool in the world. The Texas Pool Foundation is dedicated to the preservation of the Texas Pool landmark, to community outreach. The Texas Pool is a Little Free Library and Little Free Pantry location and supports the arts with our mural project and live music during the summer season. Maintained, managed, and marketed almost exclusively by volunteers, The Texas Pool encourages community involvement and provides preservation, swim safety, and lifeguard education. We offer free swimming opportunities for underserved populations of Dallas and Collin County and accept community service and bartering for swimming opportunities. We want everyone to have an opportunity to #SwimAcrossTexas!
