St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic School believes that God has a unique plan for each child. Our school, guided by a Catholic understanding of education, believes a child’s life is drastically improved when there are frequent reference to God and when the classroom environment is conducive to conversations about the deeper meaning of life. St. Bernard prides itself in having a Catholic faculty, strong academic programs, and the opportunity for students to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities.
The school is led by its principal, Mrs. Kelley Mimms, and by The Religious Family of the Incarnate Word, a Catholic religious family founded in Argentina in 1984.
Mission
Our school’s mission is to provide students with a quality, faith-based education that is rooted in the principles of Catholic thought. We strive to educate the whole person and to have an environment that promotes virtue (moral and theological), academic rigor and super-natural joy among faculty and students.
We believe a student's future moral, academic and social success depends on their ability to think with intellectual honesty and to work among diverse situations and types of people. Our school also puts strong emphasis on Catholic liturgy and sacramental formation. We also follow the pedagogical method developed by Saint John Bosco, patron saint of the youth and school children.
Needs
Please support Saint Bernard’s curriculum and academic programs! All donations are tax deductible and your support will directly benefit each of our students and families.
Besides teacher salary and health care expenses, the majority of our other school expenses are for curriculum, facility utilities and repairs. Many of these expenses rely on school fundraising and the generosity of parishioners, friends, and grant funding.
Your donations will assist our school in three key areas: they reduce the number of required fundraisers for the school, will allow for the replacement of old or damaged curriculum, and will keep our tuition at the most reasonable rates.
School curriculum includes: teaching licenses, student internet safety, and standard textbooks and work materials. Annual curriculum needs amount to $40,000 of the annual budget.
