We offer a wide range of programs and services to support our community. These include: Information and Referral, Incontinence Supply Assistance, New and Expectant parent counseling, Summer Camp for children, Weekend Camps for families, Weekend Camp for adults, Educational Scholarships, Medical Seminars, A monthly e-newsletter, Outreach to Spanish-speaking families, Social activities, Emergency financial assistance, Website, Social Media pages and groups, Spina Bifida Awareness and Advocacy, Support Groups, Partnering with Disability Groups and Much, much more!
Our goal is to raise awareness of Spina Bifida and to give children, families and adults the tools that they need to be advocates for themselves, independent and active individuals with Spina Bifida and to have a strong, supportive community.
The mission of the Spina Bifida Association of North Texas is to build a better and brighter future for all those impacted by Spina Bifida.
Our Needs
We are currently looking for people to serve on the board of directors beginning January 2023. Our board is a working board, so our members chair and work events and assist where needed. We are also looking for volunteers to assist with our events such as our Walk-N-Roll in September, Education Day in February, and our Christmas Party in December. We begin recruiting volunteer counselors and nurses to help staff our June 2023 Camp TLC week at Camp John Marc for Spina Bifida children age 9-16.
