SD4KB organization was established in honor of 6-year-old Kayla Brown. Kayla lost her life tragically in a bicycle accident due to unsafe bicycle safety practices. Although Kayla's untimely death took a devastating toll on our family, the tragedy strengthened our family and brought us closer together and allowed us the opportunity to do something positive in our community.
Our family has successfully organized many efforts to help spread and educate the community on bicycle safety in Dallas, TX and surrounding areas. These efforts include bicycle safety events, speaking engagements, carnivals, broadcasting through social media, radio, and news outlets, but there is so much more that we would like to accomplish with this organization and cause.
As an organization our goal is to educate children, parents, and drivers of the road by providing them with necessary bicycle safety education material. In addition, provide children cyclist with preventative safety gear and properly fitted helmets as an added safety precaution.
