You are helping to create extraordinary opportunities and pathways for children to flourish, parents to thrive and families to remain undivided by restoring hope and loving lavishly through your radical hospitality, intentional compassion and disruptive generosity.
For over 20 years nationally, internationally, globally and now 5 years locally in DFW, we have been pioneering to re-think foster care and reduce child abuse and neglect by offering parents a safe placement alternative for their children with a community of deeply compassionate people.
The DFW Chapter has remained steadfast in pursuit of ways to engage and empower parents who are desperately seeking something different and just need room to breathe. We understand now more than ever the instability single parents and children have experienced growing up without consistency and stable support in their lives. Parents are struggling to raise their children through broken relationships, economic instability, and numerous daily defeats and disappointments. What Safe Families for Children DFW offers children and their families is a safe space to breath, reset and regain dignity with a community of support.
Our model empowers families to navigate their challenges while simultaneously enhancing their access to resources and support networks. We build upon the family’s strengths and provide caring relationships. Through these relationships we can help families activate and achieve their own goals and move from a state of crisis to stability. To do this well, we must continually build and develop strong volunteer networks with diverse skills, backgrounds, availability, and resources. We strongly believe that when parents are empowered to protect and nurture their children well, children, families, and our communities are stronger.
Children and families will continue to be left behind unless they have access to adequate housing, food, health care, education, safe places to play, and a caring supportive community. The DFW Chapter is transforming the lives and futures of children, revitalizing families, and ultimately, healing neighborhoods and communities - one family at a time.

Safe Families for Children DFW hosts vulnerable children and creates extended family-like supports for desperate families through a community of devoted volunteers who are motivated by compassion to keep children safe and families intact.
Safe Families DFW thrives off of donations from people like you. All donations support the ongoing work of the staff and volunteers who are working diligently to see Children Safe and Families Together. Our chapter serves to help break down the barriers of situational and generational poverty families are facing through relational community and connection with stabilizing resources in the community.
Donations of gift cards to Amazon, Grocery Stores, Gas Stations and Uber for stabilization of families.
Funding for office supplies and printed marketing materials.
Funding for informational meetings and trainings to recruit and train community volunteers.
