$25,000 Goal

Runners Refuge provides meals, clothing, transportation, and much more to over 2000 homeless individuals a month at 5 locations in the DFW Metroplex.

Additionally, Runners Refuge provides mental health referrals and resources, counseling, credit counseling, financial literacy classes, job training, mentorships, long-term residential substance abuse treatment, and much more to individuals experiencing homelessness. Each individual that we meet has specific needs so the way we approach helping them (wrapped in love) is tailored to them.

Mission

Runners Refuge is a compassionate ministry dedicated to reaching people in crisis with the love of Jesus Christ through biblical hospitality, prayer, and situational intervention by serving the homeless community, reaching families living in impoverished areas, and serving communities in crisis through long-term disaster recovery programs.

We reach this mission relationally and by building trust, so that we can meet the needs of our outdoor friends and those that are hurting, broken, and needing help. We are able to provide hot meals, clothing, hygiene items, and non-perishable food at our Urban Impact Centers. While we are directly building relationships with our outdoor friends, we are able to find out what is keeping them from being off the streets. We utilize the information that we receive to provide them with the services that they need to help our outdoor friends build sustainable lives off the streets.

Needs

+Donations- your financial partnership directly helps our outdoor friends find a new life, that is no longer including them being homeless.

Some of the services that we provide such as: Identity documentation, long-term residential recovery programs, transportation to get to recovery program, and Christian counseling and mentorship help get many our friends off the streets.

+Volunteer Support- volunteers that can assist with meal prep, serving food, distributing clothing and hygiene items, or helping with breakdown operations in our South Dallas Campus at 2727 Cleveland St every Saturday.

September 1, 2023, Runners Refuge opened a 12-month faith-based recovery program for 18 women and 18 men at no cost to those who want help. We need partners so that we can remain a no-barrier facility. No one should need to worry about having to pay for help. Assist them in becoming the mother, father, brother, sister, son, or daughter that their family misses. Together, we can help foster change. #Reach1
