River Legacy Nature Center is the gateway to explore River Legacy Park, a 1300-acre oasis in the middle of DFW.

⢠Give thousands of school children the opportunity to visit River Legacy Nature Center for a field trip.  For many of them, it is their first walk in the woods! Â
⢠Provide care for the 96 animal ambassadors who call the Nature Center home. These turtles, snakes, fish, opossums, and rabbits help children learn about their habitats, characteristics, and adaptations.Â
⢠Bring visiting exhibits like Forever Forest to the Nature Center. They add to our interactive Discovery Room exhibits to further engage families in environmental education and preservation.
River Legacy Foundation helps people fall in love with nature! Whether you join us on an in-person or virtual nature hike, you'll DISCOVER something new each visit. Each year our naturalists and teachers guide 15,000+ school children on Field Trips. For many of these students, it is their first walk in the woods. Children go on a hike in the woods, meet animal ambassadors (opossums, snakes, and turtles, oh my!) and explore what is living around a decomposing tree! These experiences are wonder-filled and wonderful! Your donation makes this possible. We could not do all this without you!
