$75,000 Goal

River Legacy Nature Center is the gateway to explore River Legacy Park, a 1300-acre oasis in the middle of DFW.

Through one-of-a-kind education programs, community events, and exhibits (both permanent and visiting!)
we educate and nurture the next generation of environmental stewards and leaders!

As we celebrate the 35th anniversary of River Legacy Foundation, we also celebrate the impact YOU have made throughout the years by helping over ONE MILLION nature enthusiasts connect with nature.

This North Texas Giving Day, we need your help to
reach our $75,000 goal and keep the celebration going!

Your donations...

• Give thousands of school children the opportunity to visit River Legacy Nature Center for a field trip.  For many of them, it is their first walk in the woods!

• Provide care for the 96 animal ambassadors who call the Nature Center home. These turtles, snakes, fish, opossums, and rabbits help children learn about their habitats, characteristics, and adaptations.

• Bring visiting exhibits like Forever Forest to the Nature Center. They add to our interactive Discovery Room exhibits to further engage families in environmental education and preservation.

Giving Activity

Mission

River Legacy Foundation helps people fall in love with nature! Whether you join us on an in-person or virtual nature hike, you'll DISCOVER something new each visit. Each year our naturalists and teachers guide 15,000+ school children on Field Trips. For many of these students, it is their first walk in the woods. Children go on a hike in the woods, meet animal ambassadors (opossums, snakes, and turtles, oh my!) and explore what is living around a decomposing tree! These experiences are wonder-filled and wonderful! Your donation makes this possible. We could not do all this without you!

Needs

River Legacy needs your help to connect children to nature with hands-on/minds-on STEM education.

We need your donation to:

- provide Field Trips for thousands of north Texas school children.

- care for the animals who delight and engage visitors.

- bring exciting visiting exhibits to the Nature Center.
