RISE is a legal organization that provides legal education and services to indigent and underserved individuals. We also partner with other non-profits to expand our reach and services. By partnering with a variety of organizations, we hope to pay a role in helping individuals resolve their legal issues and reach self-sufficiency.
RISE is currently seeking funding to support our clinics and educational seminars. In our education seminars, individuals are provided information on basic legal topics, such as landlord-tenant rights, criminal records issues, and basic family law. In clinics, individuals meet face-to-face with a bar-certified attorney to ask questions about legal issues they may be facing. Funds collected through North Texas Giving Day will cover the costs of these events. Some of these costs include monies for meeting spaces; food, such as water and light snacks; equipment; and marketing materials, including flyers and educational handouts.
