What Makes Us Different?
On North Texas Giving Day, you’ll find hundreds of nonprofits asking for support. We're different because:
We serve the people other systems can't. Nearly 40% of our patients have no insurance at all, and two-thirds live below 200% of the federal poverty line. In a state without Medicaid expansion, that means we are often the only accessible option. We care for people who face barriers to healthcare.
We are rooted in historically excluded communities. More than 75% of our patients identify as Black, Hispanic, or Latino. We’re embedded in neighborhoods like Oak Cliff and South Dallas where residents face shortages of medical care.
We provide care with compassion, not judgment. Whether a patient is experiencing homelessness or managing a chronic condition, we treat them with dignity and without stigma.
We bridge the gap between hospitals and private practices. Unlike hospital systems that feel overwhelming or impersonal, we offer a neighborhood-based alternative with the full range of care.
We’re growing with purpose. While we are proud of our history in HIV care, we've expanded to welcome more women, children, and families, ensuring all North Texans have access to care close to home.
Our Team of PHNTX Health Providers
Our patients are our neighbors, working families, aging adults, or young people just starting out. They come to us because they need a trusted, affordable place for their health. We offer primary care, behavioral health, dental care, sexual wellness, and HIV management services, all in a safe and welcoming environment.
Every Dollar Counts.

Whole-family care is growing. Prism Health North Texas remains rooted in HIV prevention and care while growing to meet more of our community's healthcare needs. In 2025, donor support helped PHNTX expand care to include pediatrics and women’s health, reaching more children and families across our community.
This year, that growth continues with family dentistry and pediatric behavioral health, and your gift today helps strengthen these services and expand access to care where it is needed most.
