Prism Health North Texas is a nonprofit community health center that provides care to over 17,000 North Texans every year.
Our patients are our neighbors, working families, aging adults, young people just starting out. These Texans come to us because they need a trusted, affordable place for their healthcare. We offer services like primary care, behavioral health, dental care, sexual wellness, and HIV management, all in a safe and welcoming environment. No matter a patient’s background, income, or insurance status, we’re here to help them stay healthy and thrive.
What Makes Us Different?
On North Texas Giving Day, you’ll find hundreds of nonprofits asking for support. Here’s how Prism Health North Texas stands out:
We serve the people other systems can’t. Nearly 40% of our patients have no insurance at all, and two-thirds live below 200% of the federal poverty line. In a state without Medicaid expansion, that often means we are the only accessible option.
We are deeply rooted in historically excluded communities. More than 75% of our patients identify as Black, Hispanic, or Latino. We’re embedded in neighborhoods like Oak Lawn and South Dallas where residents face shortages of medical care.
We provide care with compassion, not judgment. Whether a patient is experiencing homelessness or managing a chronic condition, we treat them with dignity and without stigma.
We bridge the gap between hospitals and private practices. Unlike hospital systems that can feel overwhelming or impersonal, we offer a neighborhood-based alternative with the full range of care.
We’re growing with purpose. While we are proud of our history in HIV care, today we are expanding to welcome more women, children, and families, ensuring all North Texans have access to care close to home.
Your gift today helps us keep our doors open for those who need us most. Thank you for believing in a healthier, more connected North Texas.
