In 2025, more than 37,000 patients received essential healthcare services at our North Texas health centers, including:

  • Preventive wellness exams
  • Birth control, including IUDs and implants
  • STI testing and treatment
  • Breast and cervical cancer screenings
  • HPV vaccines to prevent cervical cancer
  • PEP and PrEP medication to prevent HIV
  • Gender-affirming hormone therapy for patients ages 18 and up

Your generosity has helped expand services like rapid STI testing, “comfort care” options to enhance each patient’s appointment, pain management for IUD insertions, menopause care, colposcopy and LEEP procedures to prevent cervical cancer, and new this year, speculum-free exams for cervical cancer screenings.

Your support also extends beyond our health centers. Last year, 5,817 teens and adults across North Texas gained essential knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their health through our education programs.

Testimonials

“I was nervous from the moment I went in to before I got checked. My provider was professional and made me comfortable [until] the end of my exam. Her touch was nurturing and I did not feel any pain or uncomfortableness with her. I feel great knowing there are professionals who care & know what they are doing!”

— Arlington Health Center patient

“Amazing experience. I felt so comfortable getting my IUD. The doctor was super compassionate and the insertion was flawless. Afterwards I started turning pale and feeling dizzy and I quickly bounced back as the doctor got me water and an ice pack and waited until I felt better. Incredible patient care!! I’ve been to ERs and other doctors in Texas and none of them have compared.”

— Denton Health Center patient

“The staff here is warm, wonderful, and kind! I was feeling tense after work and that melted immediately when I entered the building. The front desk employee was super welcoming and super on top of my check-in. The clinician was radiant, friendly, and informative. I could tell my wellbeing was important to her. Everyone was so considerate of my patient needs. I'm thrilled and grateful to be in the care of such good-hearted people!”

Needs

* Texas has the highest percent of uninsured residents in the U.S. 22% of Texans do not have health insurance. Texas also exceeds national poverty rates with 13.4% of Texans living below the poverty level (approx. $15,650 annually per person) (healthcare.gov). Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas is an essential entry point into the healthcare system for tens of thousands of uninsured and low-income patients in North Texas. 57% of patients served by Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas in 2025 were uninsured and 45% earned incomes at or below $31,300 for a single person.

**Texas does not require sex education. According to the CDC, 81% of Texas schools do not provide any form of sex education, and most rely on abstinence-only education which can be ineffective or stigmatizing for many teens. As a result, Texas has one of the highest teen birth rates in the country, ranking 8th in 2024. 16% of teen births in Texas are repeat births. Science-based sex education plays an important role in the health and well-being of young people. Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas provides high-quality sex education using an evidence-based approachto empower young people to make informed decisions about their bodies and their lives.
