$6,000 Goal

Imagine having to make the unimaginable decision to surrender a pet you love because you’re no longer able to care for it.  Or consider someone who has fallen on hard times and must choose between feeding themselves or feeding the pet they love.  Most often, the pet is well fed while the pet owner suffers.

It doesn’t have to be this way.  With a little community support, we can help keep pets in their loving homes while supporting the health and well-being of those who care for them.  In doing so, we also keep pets out of already overcrowded animal shelters where euthanasia is often the solution.

How?  By providing pet owners with a little extra help.  Through your donation of money, pet food and pet supplies, we can provide assistance to those who need it most.  By working with the ASPCA, food banks and community outreach organizations throughout Dallas, your donation to Pet Pals Pack will help us help people keep the pets they love.

The bond between humans and pets is powerful.  Sometimes, the love of a pet is all someone has in this world.  And we have a powerful, meaningful opportunity to help them keep the pets they love.

Our projects include:

  • Supporting Pet Owners:  There’s no denying the love people have for their pets.  And there’s plenty of data that shows the positive impact pets have on their owners’ mental and physical wellbeing.  We help pet owners keep their pets by distributing pet supplies including toys, treats, cleaning products, and grooming tools plus seasonal needs through partnerships with local food pantries, shelters, and other organizations offering social services.
  • Supporting Education:  The benefits of pet ownership and the responsibilities that come with it are important to understand at any age.  We support animal welfare education in K-12 and post-secondary classrooms to emphasize the importance of responsible pet ownership and keeping pets out of shelters.
  • Supporting Our Community:  Pets are good for the mental and physical well-being of their owners.  Providing support, encouragement and a little kindness to pet owners in need is good for the pets, pet owners and our community.  It also keeps pets out of our already overcrowded shelters.

"Thank you so much for what you do in helping the homes of the animals in need, specifically mine. I lost my job about a month ago and it has been hard to make ends meet. I couldn’t imagine ever giving my dogs up and it’s because of people like you that help to keep our dogs in our homes. Thank you and may God bless you."

Mission

The Pet Pals Pack was founded in 2017 by people passionate about animal welfare and pet ownership within their community. We are dedicated to promoting the social benefits of keeping pets and people together. We support ensuring that as many pets as possible are able to stay in stable, loving homes.

Our passion for supporting the community and the need for such support has grown due to the challenges we all faced with the covid-19 pandemic.

Our work is made possible by our partnerships with social service organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area who help us get resources to pet owners who need it most. You can help us support pets, their pet owners and our community by becoming one of our valued partners.
