About PeopleFund:

Established in 1994, PeopleFund has 32 years of experience providing underserved communities of low to moderate income with the capital, training, and networks needed to access small business ownership as a pathway to financial stability. We serve North Texas through mission-driven lending and free business education programs.

PeopleFund's mission is to create economic opportunity and financial stability for underserved people and communities by providing access to capital, education, and resources to build healthy small businesses. We believe that every person can become a successful entrepreneur and job creator given access to the resources they need. Our goal is to give people the opportunity to turn their talents into a sustainable livelihood and achieve financial stability for themselves and their families. Our vision is that every person, regardless of gender, race, or creed, has access to the resources they need to attain financial freedom through business ownership. 97% of our clients are individuals of low to moderate income, people of color, women, Veterans, and/or military spouses.

PeopleFund's Impact:

Since inception, PeopleFund has delivered over $275 million in financial assistance to 6,000+ small businesses and $240 million in tax credit allocations that attracted $950 million in investments--putting PeopleFund's direct impact in the Texas economy surpassing $1.4 billion. We have also helped create and retain 26,000 jobs and delivered over 250,000 hours of free business education.

PeopleFund is deeply rooted in North Texas, with offices in both Dallas and Fort Worth. Across North Texas, we currently have $20.5 million invested in local entrepreneurs creating and retaining 1,500 local jobs.
