About Pearls of the Ivy Foundation
Pearls of the Ivy Foundation, Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities and strengthening communities through scholarship, service, and strategic partnerships.
Supported by more than 190 women committed to service, the Foundation advances programs benefiting families and communities throughout Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Glenn Heights, Lancaster, Midlothian, Oak Leaf, Ovilla, Red Oak, and Waxahachie, Texas.
Through charitable contributions, signature fundraising events, community programs, and volunteer service, we invest in initiatives that create meaningful opportunities and lasting impact.
Our Areas of Impact
Our work focuses on:
Educational Opportunity: Awarding scholarships and providing resources that help students prepare for, enter, and succeed in college.
Family and Community Wellness: Supporting childhood hunger initiatives, youth leadership development, mental health awareness, and community education.
Economic Empowerment: Advancing financial literacy, wealth-building education, women entrepreneurs, and Black-owned businesses.
Environmental Stewardship: Promoting tree planting, community gardens, waste reduction, shredding, recycling, and other sustainability efforts.

The purpose/mission of the Pearls of the Ivy Foundation is to provide scholarships to exemplary high school students who are accepted by an accredited college or university, assist students in college with demonstrated financial need, fund the programs and activities identified as community service needs, Upsilon Lambda Omega programs and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. International Programs and provide volunteers and assistance to other non-profit organizations.
Monetary and in-kind donations as well as volunteer assistance to our fellow not-for-profit agencies and organizations that provide invaluable specialized services to the community.
