Each December, Operation Care holds the nation's largest Christmas party for the homeless and impoverished at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. Thousands of people form lines early on a cold morning for this special event. Operation Care utilizes the efforts of more than 3000 humble and caring volunteers in partnership with charitable organizations, church groups, sponsors (corporate, small business and individuals) and donors to give a Christmas Gift to the homeless. Food, clothing, shoes and services are distributed to thousands of homeless and impoverished men, women, and children in a festive and safe environment.
Operation Care need the following goods for our Christmas Event:
New shoes, new or slightly (clean) coats, new toys, sleeping bags, blankets and personal care items,
Also, Operation Care International is looking for individuals for the following positions: a Social Media Director, Development Director, and additional office support staff.
Operation Care International exists to glorify God. In obedience to His will, we connect impoverished children and the homeless in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex area to Jesus Christ by providing for their spiritual and physical needs through God's provision.
OCI Racial Equity Statement
Operation Care International (OCI) is committed to building a just and equitable organization. We have a powerful network worldwide of ministry partners and service-oriented organizations with an opportunity before us to support positive progress in the establishment of racial equity in the communities we serve. We recognize that behaving equitably will have profound impacts on society.
For the above reasons, OCI is committed to maintaining the spirit of wholly equitable respect for and valuing of all our partners, board members, volunteers, and service recipients, no matter what their racial status may be. The mission and vision we hold for enriching the spiritual and physical lives of everyone with whom we come in contact will challenge us to continue to create opportunities for encouraging equitable treatment of everyone with whom we work and interact and holding those who are members of the OCI board and staff accountable who fail to do so.
We commit to:
Always be willing to learn how to improve.
Owning our responsibility for corrective action when we make mistakes.
Tirelessly encourage racial equity in our organization.
Contribute to an inclusive and equitable world that champions rich diversity.
