At 6 community gardens, greenhouses, and orchard sites, we provide ongoing gardening education and cultivate local urban agriculture.
FEED THE PEOPLE
The Peoples’ Free Food Program feeds over 100 families per week in the food deserts of Southern Dallas with bags of fresh, nutritious food.

We are a collective 501(C)3 organization serving the southern Dallas sector. Our project mission is to cultivate a healthier, stronger and more self-reliant community by increasing access to fresh produce, building cooperative growing spaces and providing education about how to grow and prepare fresh produce. Our Vision is to empower our communities to take better care of their wellness and eradicate the food apartheid taking place across the southern sector of Dallas.
$25,000 - Needed for insfrastructure updates to be able to move more fresh food, including cold storage units, cold trucks, ongoing updates and maintenance.
$10,000 - Needed to support food distribution in high-poverty communities of Southern Dallas County and Oak Cliff. We feed at least 100 families per week, and typically more, to improve health outcomes, lengthen life expectancies, and reduce chronic illnesses in North Texas.
$5,000 - Covers one month of overhead costs for our Cultivate the Community initiatives where food is grown in various urban agriculture sites, including orchards, greenhouses, and community gardens.
$1,000 - Pays for one week of our program staff in executing educational and infrastructure projects that promote food security.
$500 - Pays for one pallet of produce for the Peoples' Free Food Program.
$100 - Pays for a month of water utilities at each one of our growing sites, such as the 10th Street Community Garden.
Gifts of all sizes are helpful and appreciated deeply.
