$35,000 Goal

North Texas wildlife needs you now more than ever.

We’re experiencing a  significant increase in intakes compared to this time last year, and we’ve just purchased a new facility- meaning our expenses are at an all time high. Your support right now is critical to keep our doors open and our lifesaving work going.

As one of the few wildlife centers in North Texas with a dedicated intake center, we serve as the first stop for sick, injured, and/or orphaned wildlife ranging from baby birds, opossums, raccoons, to countless others impacted by pets, vehicles, poisons, or human activity. Our volunteers, trained shift leads, and veterinary team work tirelessly to stabilize each patient and prepare them for release back into the wild.

Giving Tuesday Impact Levels

$1,000 Senior Opossum Sanctuary for non-releasable elderly opossums in a peaceful, permanent environment.

$2,000 Mini Incubators to provide lifesaving warmth and stability for orphaned babies.

$2,500 Enclosures & Repairs to ensure safe, comfortable recovery spaces.

$3,000 Emergency Fund to respond instantly to urgent medical needs or unexpected rescues.

$3,500 One Month of Mortgage at our new facility.

$5,000 Vaccines to prevent disease and protect wildlife populations.

$5,000 Baby Formula to feed orphaned raccoons, squirrels, opossums, and more.

$6,000 Insurance Coverage to protect our staff and volunteers.

$7,000 Veterinary Care to fund diagnostics, treatments, and surgeries.

$10,000 Staff Support to provide consistent, high quality care onsite.

With your help, we can continue rescuing and caring for wildlife through the busiest months of the year. From baby opossums and squirrels to coyotes, foxes, and owls right here in North Texas. Mid-year support is critical to ensure we can keep up with the growing number of animals that depend on us every day.

Thank you so much.

Mission

North Texas Wildlife Center is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of local injured or orphaned wildlife.

Needs

Our biggest needs at this time are monetary donations to support our intake center expansion to include a quarantine facility, increase outdoor pre-release enclosures, provide veterinarian care for wildlife, and other essential aspects of rehabbing wildlife.

Additionally, we are actively recruiting volunteer members of leadership as well as volunteer staff on-site at our Plano intake center.

Equity Statement

NTXWC is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where all members of the community, staff, volunteers, board members, supporters, and others are treated with respect.

We are an organization that celebrates the rich diversity of North Texas. We do not tolerate discrimination, biases, harassment, or bullying. Regardless of race, SES, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, gender, or marital status, we are an organization that celebrates the richness of our community and we encourage you to do the same!
