$10,000 Goal

The North Texas Coalition Against Human Trafficking (NTCAHT) meets monthly in the downtown Dallas area to discuss how human trafficking affects North Texas communities and how we can collaborate to combat this problem. The individuals and agencies that make up the Coalition collectively provide crisis response, health, counseling, legal, and case management services to hundreds of NTX neighbors experiencing trafficking each year. NTCAHT is composed of over 50 organizations across North Texas and we provide scholarship and emergency funds for survivors served by our member agencies. We have been working against human trafficking since 2011.

Mission

To educate and mobilize the community to work against human trafficking in the North Texas region and to empower survivors of human trafficking through specialized comprehensive social, medical, and legal services, advocacy, and extensive research.

Needs

Survivors of Human Trafficking often fall back into "the life" because opportunities for self sufficiency are hard to come by considering the circumstances they have lived through and experienced. We have set up 2 distinct funds to break the cycle of exploitation. We help pay for educational costs associated with higher education or trade schools. We also help pay emergency costs that could interrupt the survivors' restorative progress. For instance, a car breakdown, missed rent check, an unpaid citation, etc.

Equity Statement

The North Texas Coalition Against Human Trafficking serves our community without regard to race, ethnicity, color, religion (creed), sex, gender identity and expression, age, English proficiency, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, or sexual orientation.
