Our Vision is to make a positive difference in the development of young girls and boys. We use basketball as a tool to stress the importance of self-improvement, health and fitness, working together and a winning attitude. We recognize that it is important that we give children all the encouragement and mentorship we can to help them realize their dreams. Not every child has the same opportunities in life and it is important to ensure they are given a great education to better position themselves to
achieve their aspirations. We encourage our children to work hard and use good judgment in their every day lives so that they can be valuable members of society.
Our Needs
Funding to build more Dream Courts‚Ñ¢ across the country to give children in underprivileged communities a safe area to play basketball, interact socially, learn important lessons about teamwork and sportsmanship, and participate in free basketball clinics.
Provide summer basketball camps for girls and boys ages 5-17 regardless of their family's ability to pay. These basketball camps serve as our classroom to teach teamwork, structure, discipline and life skills that propel the next generation of student athletes to success on and off the court.
Send more high school students off to college by providing tuition scholarships to help qualified students achieve their higher education goals.
The Nancy Lieberman Charities is committed to positively impacting academic participation and school attendance, and awards backpacks with school supplies and iPads to deserving students so that they have the basic necessities to compete in the classroom.
Mission
Nancy Lieberman Charities focuses on improving outcomes for undeserved youth in the areas of education, health & wellness, and career/life preparedness. We look to create impactful programs that not only achieve their goals, but do so in ways conducive to fostering inclusive attitudes regarding racial/gender equality, social justice, and civic engagement. Initiatives like our Dream Courts™, Educational College Scholarships, Basketball Camps, civic responsibility/social justice lecture series, mentorship and STEM/technology programs contribute to the health, self-esteem, and career success of the young girls and boys that we serve.
Needs
Our 2025 focus is on education for the youth we serve across the country. We have a goal of sending 10 high school seniors to a college of their choosing this fall. As we prepare and fundraise this North Texas Giving Day, we ask that you consider donating towards a Educational College Scholarship that will go directly to students in North Texas.
Equity Statement
By providing educational, health and wellness activities and mentorship/leadership programming, Nancy Lieberman Charities extends its reach to over five million youth per year through the power of sports, fitness, and education. We value creating opportunity for young people of every gender, ethnicity, religion, and socioeconomic status.
