Mission Arlington is a faith-based, non-profit designed to meet the physical, spiritual, educational, and social needs of people in a holistic way. Led through the years by one Executive Director, Tillie Burgin, we turned forty (40) this past August.
Our heart is to treat people with dignity and respect, no matter their circumstances. Our hope is to share God's love as we serve in this community. We are ordinary people, serving together in an extraordinary community.
In 2025, Mission Arlington touched over 400,000 lives in one way or another. You can see the details of the specific ministry results in another section of this website. However, we still see ourselves as a "Ministry of Ones," because we believe that "every life matters to God,"" and that every person has value."
We hope that you will join us soon. You can make a difference here, and we look forward to serving with you.
1) Your Gifts - Mission Arlington needs basic food and hygiene items (peanut butter, jelly, tuna, ramen noodles, soups, bread, cereals, rice, canned vegetables of any kind, diapers, toiletries, etc.) At various times of the year, you can provide school supplies, Thanksgiving food, and/or Christmas-related gifts. Your financial support also provides much needed relief for rent & utility assistance for families who have lost jobs, experienced health concerns, or who have experienced the breakup of a significant relationship. 98 cents of every dollar you give ministers directly to people in need.
2) Your Time & Talents - We also need volunteers to serve in any and every area of our ministry. We are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday - Saturday, and we would value walking alongside of you to serve.
3) Your Prayers - Your prayer for us, day-in and day-out make a huge difference here.
We are so grateful for your constant support. Thank you!
Mission Arlington / Mission Metroplex exists to reach our community for Christ by meeting physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs.
All year long, food is one of our biggest ongoing needs. Peanut butter, jelly, sliced bread, canned vegetables, soups, tuna, chicken, and/or meats of any kind. All kinds of "dry goods" are helpful and truly needed too. Thank you so much.
In the summer season, we receive school supplies for Arlington ISD students. During the months leading up to Thanksgiving, we receive turkey & Thanksgiving food. At Christmas, we receive new, or nearly new Christmas gifts & toys for children and youth. We will receive any of these gifts at any season, all-year-long.
"All things to all people that we can reach some" (John 3:16) - "whosoever."
