Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex

A nonprofit organization

Mission Arlington is a faith-based, non-profit organization that hopes to meet the physical, spiritual, educational, and social needs of people in a holistic way. Our ministry has grown over the last 37 years by responding to the needs of real families in our community.

We believe that anyone can hand out "stuff."  Our heart is to treat people with dignity and respect, no matter their circumstances.  Our hope is to share God's love as we serve in this community.  We are simply ordinary people, serving together in an extraordinary community.

In 2023, Mission Arlington touched in some way over 400,000 lives in one way or another.  You can see the details of the specific ministry results in another section of this website. However, we still see ourselves as a "Ministry of Ones," because we believe that every life matters to God, and that means every life has value.

Our ministry has been led and served by Tillie Burgin, our Executive Director, for the past 37 years.  We hope that soon, you will stop by, and join us as we hope to make a difference here. We look forward to serving with you.

Our Needs

1) Your Gifts - Mission Arlington needs basic food and hygiene items (peanut butter, jelly, tuna, ramen noodles, soups, bread, cereals, rice, canned vegetables of any kind, diapers, toiletries, etc. At various times of the year, you can provide school supplies, Thanksgiving food, and/or Christmas-related gifts. Your financial support also provides much needed relief for rent & utility assistance for families who have lost jobs, experienced health concerns, or who have experienced the breakup of a significant relationship.  97 cents of every dollar you give ministers directly to people in need.

2) Your Time & Talents - We also need volunteers to serve in any and every area of our ministry. We are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday - Saturday, and we would value walking alongside of you to serve.

3) Your Prayers - Your prayer for us, day-in and day-out make a huge difference here.

We are so grateful for your constant support.  Thank you!
