Millie’s Mutts holds a very special place in our hearts, and it all began with our first rescue, Millie.
Millie was found through a free newspaper ad after spending much of her life as an outdoor dog. By the time she was rescued, she was facing the devastating effects of heartworm disease and needed significant care and treatment. With patience, love, and proper veterinary care, Millie recovered and went on to thrive. She spent many happy years bringing joy and companionship to our founder’s mother, living a full life well into her golden years.
Although Millie is deeply missed, her story continues to inspire everything we do. Her second chance became the foundation for our mission: to help dogs in need receive the care, safety, and love they deserve.
Every donation helps us provide veterinary treatment, food, foster care, and other essential support for animals waiting for their own second chance. In Millie’s honor, we remain committed to saving as many lives as possible and helping each rescue experience what she did: the chance to be healthy, loved, and home.
