This North Texas Giving Day, every donation to ManeGait will be matched up to $60,000—fueling The Beacon Project, a bold expansion to serve more children and adults with disabilities through equine therapy and innovative programs.
Founded in 2007 by Pris and Bill Darling and their daughter Landon, ManeGait began as a calling—rooted in faith, a love of horses, and a deep commitment to those in need. Today, it’s a nationally recognized center of hope and healing, serving 150 riders weekly with the help of 30 therapy horses and 1,200 volunteer
But the need is urgent. Over 400 individuals are on our waitlist.
The Beacon Project will:
Double program capacity by adding a second covered arena
Build a new therapy center for brain-building and mental health services
Construct a 32-stall barn to expand our herd size
Create a conference space for training, collaboration, and community events
Position ManeGait as a national knowledge center in equine therapy
The Impact:
150 more riders served each session
A venue for Special Olympics and equestrian sports
A hub for volunteerism, corporate team-building, and nonprofit collaboration
