Mid-Cities Community Cats is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that works to reduce the number of outdoor stray and community cats with trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR). We operate in seven suburban cities between Dallas and Fort Worth, conducting hands-on TNVR and educating residents and animal shelters about this humane, effective practice.

We also provide medical care for sick and injured cats we encounter during the process of TNVR, ranging from eye or URI infections to cats with open wounds due to animal attacks or abuse. Our goal is to return these cats to healthy outdoor lives whenever possible. We treat many conditions ourselves and use full-service vets when necessary.

Mission

Mid-Cities Community Cats (M-CCC) is dedicated to promoting the welfare of community cats in the cities of Hurst, Euless, Bedford and several adjoining cities, including North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, Colleyville, DFW Airport property, and others. We practice the humane method of trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) to help control the community cat population and improve the health of unowned outdoor cats. M-CCC also educates the public and works with city officials to explain the positive effects of TNVR and TNVR-friendly shelter policies. We are a grassroots, all-volunteer organization and typically serve 800 - 1,000 cats a year with TNVR. M-CCC is known for the significant accomplishments we make with limited resources.

Needs

Our greatest need is for funds to continue providing spay-neuter surgeries and associated medical care for 800 - 1,000 community cats each year. We also use donated funds to replenish our traps and other supplies, for food and other needs for cats during recuperation after surgery, and to treat sick or injured cats we find during our TNVR work. We buy meds and provide care ourselves whenever possible but sometimes must use full-service vets for severe illnesses or injuries. We try to return each unowned community cat to health, if possible.

Equity Statement

Our volunteers do not discriminate in serving clients or make care decisions on any basis other than doing what is best for the cats we help. Our top priority is doing what is best for the community cats.
