Our mission is to provide high-quality pro bono legal services to low-income persons living with terminal illnesses or HIV.
Legal Hospice of Texas (LHT) provides free legal counsel, advocacy, and representation in the areas of Estate Planning, Insurance, Employment, Public Benefits, and Housing.
LHT is the only provider in our service area of pro bono legal services dedicated to this population of low-income individuals with HIV or AIDS. Our main office is located in Dallas, TX and we service clients who reside in Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro and Rockwall County. For clients who are too ill to travel, we can arrange intake, attorney consultation, and execution of estate planning documents in residential, medical, and extended care settings.
Legal Hospice of Texas' will use funds to provide incentives to law students seeking intern and externships, to provide outreach and legal education in our community and to provide direct Estate Planning services to our clients.
