La Colectiva NTX is a collective of 100% volunteers and caring community members who provide on-the-ground care, support, and mutual aid to individuals and family members affected by US Immigration Enforcement.
Aid, care, and support is provided daily outside the US Immigration & Customs Enforcement Field Office in Dallas.
Setting up our tent Monday – Saturday at 6:00 a.m. each morning, we provide non-legal advice, comforting food, and emotional/spiritual support for those going in for their appointments, and financial assistance for families of detained community members.
Each week our volunteer team and hotline come into contact with approximately 75 community members and in a single month we disburse approximately $7500 - $10,000 in aid to families.
Through North Texas Giving Day we aim to raise $50,000 which will sustain our efforts for the next 5 months.

We are here to ensure immigrants and their families across North Texas do not navigate moments of uncertainty alone by providing compassionate accompaniment, trusted resource navigation, education, and direct community support.
1. Direct, short-term assistance for immigrant individuals and families experiencing an immediate crisis. Funds may help with rent or housing stabilization, temporary shelter, emergency lodging, transportation, food, utilities, and other essential needs when families face unexpected hardship or disruption.
2. Mobile Resource & Outreach Space — MAJOR FUNDING PRIORITY
Funding toward a climate-controlled mobile resource van or trailer that allows La Colectiva NTX to provide a safer, more private space for resource navigation, phone charging, paperwork assistance, and family support outside the Dallas ICE Field Office.
3. Field Operations & Volunteer Support
Canopies, tables, chairs, coolers, weather protection, volunteer safety supplies, storage, outreach materials, and other equipment that allows our volunteers to remain present rain, snow, sun, or shine.
4. Resource Navigation, Education & Technology
Bilingual Know Your Rights materials, emergency-planning resources, printing, tablets, hotspots, communication tools, and technology that help families access trusted community, legal, consular, shelter, and social-service resources.
La Colectiva NTX believes dignity, safety, information, and community support should never depend on a person’s immigration status, income, language, education, or ability to navigate complex systems.
We intentionally center immigrant and mixed-status families across North Texas, including Spanish-speaking communities, individuals with limited English proficiency, working-class and low-income families, newly arrived immigrants, and people who may face barriers to transportation, technology, legal resources, or other traditional systems of support.
Language access is central to our work. We strive to provide information and support in the language most accessible to each individual and to communicate in ways that are culturally responsive, understandable, and free from unnecessary jargon. While much of the community we currently serve is Spanish-speaking, our commitment to language justice extends beyond any single language or nationality.
We recognize that inequity is not experienced equally. Financial resources, literacy, education, disability, documentation, digital access, and familiarity with U.S. institutions can significantly affect a person's ability to find help and advocate for themselves. Our approach prioritizes those facing the greatest barriers while respecting the autonomy, knowledge, and lived experiences of every person we encounter.
