About kNOwBOX dance
kNOwBOX dance is a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit and global Dance Think Tank dedicated to shaping the future of dance. We center artists, amplify their work, and use technology to connect them with audiences around the world.
Guided by our ethos, “Say NO to the BOX and YES to the future of dance”, we challenge traditional boundaries and create innovative platforms where movement, film, and technology intersect. Our work supports artists not only in creating new work, but in sustaining their careers through visibility, compensation, and ongoing opportunities.
Through programs like the kNOwBOX dance Film Festival, Dance Behind the Screen Podcast, and our Digital Catalogue and Pop-Up events, we connect Dallas artists to international audiences while bringing global perspectives back to North Texas.
We believe dance is a driver of change; a powerful tool for creativity, education, and community connection. By investing in artists and expanding access to dance across cultures and platforms, we are building a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable future for the arts.
