Woman to Woman Health Center has positively impacted the lives of women for 30 years. Woman to Woman Health Center provides quality, compassionate care with a focus on the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of each woman. Our goal is to ensure each woman is treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. Building relationships and trust allows for healing and total health- Touching hearts while transforming lives
We have provided holistic life-affirming care to women from our current health centers located in downtown Dallas and in DeSoto. There is a growing need for women’s health care due to the increasing maternal mortality rate of women from lack of access to affordable care. This risk for women’s health has become even more complex for women in pregnancy because the abortion pill is readily available online with no doctor’s visit being required. Many women are requesting information about this form of treatment not knowing how this will impact their body. This offers us the opportunity to inform them of the risks while providing education, counseling, and medical services in a safe, confidential manner.
Since most underserved women are faced with making the decision between feeding their families, paying rent, and meeting other financial obligations, taking care of their reproductive health is low on the priority list. Our health center is the affordable solution for them to access quality, compassionate care.
Involved for life, Inc., dba Woman to Woman Health Center has an incredible opportunity through our Lifestyle Medical Model to serve the whole woman by addressing her medical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. North Texas has a vast population of uninsured and under-served women who need essential reproductive health care. It's our privilege to serve each woman with dignity, compassion, and excellence with the medical and support services she needs in the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Specific volunteer needs:
• Passionate women to become members of our Friends for Life group
• Volunteers to serve at events, baby showers, & Mother’s Day events
• Volunteers to serve in our Wee Care Shop
• Volunteers to serve engaging with patients participating in our Bright Course program
• Men and woman willing to teach financial literacy classes to our patients
• Medical volunteers to serve in our centers seeing patients to include physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, counselors, and social workers.
Patients are served without regard to age, race, income, nationality, religious affiliation, disability, or other arbitrary circumstances.
Patients are treated with kindness, compassion, and in a caring manner.
Patients always receive honest and open answers.
