11 Years of Second Chances...and So Many More Still Needed. 🐶

This North Texas Giving Day, we’re celebrating 11 years of rescue, recovery, and second chances.

Since saving our very first dog in 2015, I Am Dog Rescue has remained committed to one simple belief: every dog deserves to be safe, loved, and given the chance to thrive.

Over the years, we have rescued dogs who were abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted, and in need of someone to say, “We’ve got you now.” We’ve helped them heal, find loving foster homes, receive the medical care they desperately needed, and ultimately begin new lives with families who adore them.

But none of it happens without YOU.

We may be a small, foster-based, all-volunteer rescue, but together with our incredible community of fosters, volunteers, adopters, donors, and supporters, we have accomplished something powerful: we have given dogs who had nowhere else to turn a second chance.

I Am Dog Rescue is a foster-based, all-volunteer organization. We don't operate a facility. Instead, our dogs live in loving foster homes where they can feel safe, recover, decompress, and prepare for the families waiting to love them forever.

That means your support goes directly toward helping the dogs in our care and making it possible for us to save the next ones who need us.

Here's how your donation helps:

🏥 Medical Care

Veterinary exams, emergency treatment, surgeries, diagnostics, vaccinations, spay/neuter services, dental care, heartworm treatment, medications, and monthly preventatives for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.

🧸 Daily Essentials

Nutritious food, crates, beds, blankets, toys, leashes, collars, medications, and all the supplies our foster families need to care for the dogs in their homes.

🐕 Specialized Support

Behavioral training, boarding when necessary, grooming, supplements, specialized diets, and additional care for dogs with medical or behavioral needs.

❤️ Rescue & Recovery

The resources needed to safely bring dogs into rescue, help them heal, and give them the time and support they need before finding their forever homes.

📦 Keeping Our Rescue Running

Storage for foster supplies and event materials, nonprofit software, and the behind-the-scenes tools that help us responsibly manage donations, adoptions, records, and the many moving pieces involved in saving lives.

🛟 Become a Monthly Lifesaver

We are also seeking monthly sponsors to help provide heartworm and flea/tick prevention for the dogs in our care, help with prescription food purchases, and give support where it's needed.

These recurring gifts may seem small, but they create something incredibly important: stability. Monthly support helps us plan ahead, ensures our dogs receive the preventative care they need, and allows us to devote more resources to emergencies and dogs with significant medical needs.
