Our Community 

Since 2002, Hope Clinic has been a cornerstone of our community, providing free medical, and preventative health care to uninsured adults. Hope Clinic addresses whole-person health care needs within the context of family, faith, and community.  We have grown significantly from a humble one-room clinic in a borrowed space to our current clinic staffed by dedicated healthcare professionals and supported by dozens of volunteers. To date, Hope Clinic has provided care to over 55,000 patients.  

Hope Clinic remains the only nonprofit offering completely free medical and preventative care for the uninsured members of our Garland-area community. Without facilities such as ours, this uninsured and underserved population would lack access to medical care and preventive services, which may cause delays in disease diagnosis, poor health outcomes, and higher health care costs. 

Our Unique Approach

Hope Clinic's unique healthcare model includes primary, urgent, chronic, behavioral, and spiritual care as well as case management. We serve our community five days per week, with access to on-call physicians 24/7. Our clinic is conveniently located near public transportation, and is easily accessible to the most under-resourced communities in Garland and surrounding areas. Physicians and support staff provide services in Spanish and English. Hope Clinic ranks among the top 5% of clinics for ease of scheduling and customer service, as measured by the national Press Ganey scale.

As we prepare for North Texas Giving Day, we're proud to share the impact your support made possible this past year:

• Served 813 patients / 3,125 total patient visits

• Genders Served: 71% Female, 29% Male

• 86% of patients received chronic disease management and education

• 92% of our female patients ages 50–70 yrs old received a screening mammogram

• Ethnicity Served: 8% African American / 1% Asian / 8% Caucasian / 80% Hispanic / 1% Native American / 2% Other

• Hope Clinic is ranked 99% nationally for being recommended by their patients in the PressGaney survey.

• 2025 Hometown "Nonprofit of the Year" awarded by the Garland Chamber of Commerce

A Story of Courage

Six years ago, Maria developed daily headaches and vision changes. When she didn't respond to initial treatment, we sent her for an MRI. Her brain tumor was discovered, and she was sent to the emergency room where she was admitted. Surgery revealed glioblastoma. In spite of multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation over the years, Maria's attitude remains positive and her faith strong. From her visits with Dr. Bailey to her prayers with the spiritual care team, Maria has not been on this journey alone. HOPE LIVES HERE.
